Artist's Statement: Nancy Adair

Nancy is from South Dakota, currently living in Germantown,TN.​   Her journey in art started in the 1st grade and has not stopped.  She has studied with Theresa Patterson, Sandee Sanders, Jan Singer and taken many workshops.  Nancy was particularly influenced by Theresa Paterson who taught her how to "see"; saying it is a place one can't always be, since "it can easily be lost".  She admires Georgia O'Keeffe, Wassily Kandinsky, Itzhak Taukay and Dale Chihuly.  She has painted in acrylics, made 2 and 3 dimensional collages and worked in glass.  Presently, Nancy is very interested in abstract contemporary painting because she feels that it is so freeing.
