ARTIST STATEMENT:

As an artist, I work to capture the interplay of light, color and atmosphere of a particular time and place in an impressionistic style.  Part of my process involves traveling to locations, photographing and doing plein air painting on site when possible.  My desire is to capture the feel of that place, to show the bold shadows on a sunny day or the mist or purity of colors on a day lacking sun.  Through my painting, I share a place and time.  I want the painting to speak to me and others about God’s amazing creation
