I must take after my parents. They were always creating something with various mediums, as I have all my life.  After retiring as a nurse at the VA Hospital, I found I had more time to spend with arts and crafts.  A friend encouraged me to take a watercolor class and I fell in love with the medium. I took lessons from three local artists and joined the Bartlett Art Association  where I have been a member since 2003.The BAA is a wonderful group of artists with whom to learn and  share ideas, as well as validation as an artist. We continue learning from demonstrations, workshops, and speakers.

I work mostly in watercolor and pastel but I have ventured into acrylics, rice paper batik, collage, stained and fused glass, copper enameling, fiber art, and anything creative and artistic.  My work is on display in the Atrrium at St. Francis Hospital, Bartlett, where we have a permanent, revolving display and also at Sweet Peas Table on Stage Road.

I love the creative process, the spontaneity and the (good and bad) suprises upon completion. With art, our world can become an even more beautiful place to be.  Art lies in the eye of the beholder. We are all artists to someone's eye.
